Mastery · Beta

Master the subject, for its own sake.

Mastery helps you learn a subject deeply — focused study guides, lessons, and adaptive practice that meet you where you are. Starting with Project Management and Agile Frameworks.

Learn

Study at your depth.

A two-minute chapter video gives you the shape. The lesson gives you the substance. Worked examples and common mistakes fold open when you want them — and stay shut when you don't.

The Magic of Synthetic Rubies

Imagine a brass gear spinning endlessly. The tip of its steel axle—called a pivot—rests inside a small hole drilled into the watch's metal baseplate. Over time, the friction of steel spinning against brass will wear that perfectly round hole into an oval, causing the gears to jam and the watch to die. In 1704, watchmakers discovered a beautiful solution: they drilled holes into tiny rubies and used them to line the pivot holes. Rubies are incredibly hard and perfectly smooth. When a polished steel pivot spins inside a ruby donut, friction practically vanishes. Today, watchmakers use lab-grown synthetic rubies, which are the bright pink dots you see scattered across a mechanical movement. They act as armor, ensuring the metal gears can spin for decades without wearing away.

Go deeper · Anatomy of a Drop

Imagine your watch slips from your wrist and strikes a hardwood floor. Inside the case, the heavy balance wheel violently jerks sideways, threatening to snap its microscopic steel axle. But instead of crashing against a rigid wall, the ruby bearing holding the axle is mounted on a tiny, lyre-shaped spring (often called an Incabloc system). The spring flexes, allowing the entire jewel assembly to slide and absorb the kinetic energy of the crash. A split second later, the spring gently pushes the jewel—and the spinning balance wheel—perfectly back into the center, and the heartbeat never stops.

Practice

Practice that explains itself.

Server-scored practice tightens around your weak areas as your command grows. Try a real question from the governed bank — the explanation is the point.

In the context of Project Cost Management, which technique is used to measure project performance by comparing earned value with budgeted cost?

A real question from the governed practice bank.

Critical Path Method

Spaced repetition decides when you see each card next — no cramming.

The Method

Built on how memory actually works.

Every feature you just used exists because a learning-science principle demands it. Three of the nine, briefly — the full method has its own page.

Go as deep as you need

A short chapter video gives you the shape, the lesson gives you the substance, and worked examples and common mistakes fold open in place when you want them. Choosing your depth is itself encoding.

The testing effect

Test yourself, early

Lesson checkpoints and server-scored practice make you recall — not reread. The explanation after each answer is the point.

The spacing effect

Return on schedule

Memory cards ride a spaced-repetition schedule derived from how you actually rate your own recall — reviews arrive right before you'd forget.
